Thanks to the fourth season of The Crown we had the chance to remember a style icon, Princess Diana. Diana’s remarkable style during the 80s and the 90s was so unique and an inspiration for many young girls and women.
The world became enchanted as soon as Prince Charles announced his engagement to Lady Diana Spencer. Paparazzi would follow her everywhere and the press was filled with articles about her.
Princess Diana was a queen of dress up, something that requires a sophisticated taste and imagination and she had all these qualifications.
The fourth season of The Crown made us remember some of the outfits that she wore during the 80s and the 90s and we realized the great impact her style had back then and how relevant it is even nowadays.
The phenomenon of Diana’s style will always be present in our lives. As time passed, her style became more daring in bold colours and big shapes.
After her divorce to Prince Charles she immediately forgot about all those royal protocols and we saw her stepping out in short dresses for different occasions and in bike shorts to head to the gym. Sweatshirts and bike shorts became a signature of Diana’s and nowadays you see women wearing the same style.
