Coat Trends For Fall/Winter 2019-2020

We think it’s time for the new coat that we will be wearing this winter. The weather is changing every day, and soon it will be so cold that we cannot go out. But, with the proper outfits, we can manage the terrible cold.

Coats are always a beautiful option in winter. Luckily for us, designers have expressed all their ideas and imagination by creating some of the most stylish coats. They have thought of every single detail and every single colour that would look good on a coat.

But, if you want to be in line with all the latest trends, see below which kind of coats will be ‘in’ this fall/winter.

  1. Fake furs

It is only a matter of time now that designers bring fake fur into the catwalk. Fur coats have always been considered a timeless piece, but matters have changed, because more and more designers are presenting faux fur and now it has become a covetable piece.

  1. Punk

Opposed to being classic, a punk look is still a fashion statement. And you can absolutely look like a punk or a heavy metal fan by wearing a long leather coat.

The plead coat has gained so much popularity these couple of years. The trend will be much more present this season.

  1. The cape

You may look like the “Red Riding Hood”, but in today’s fashion you can opt for any colour you desire, besides red. Capes will be popular this season and we are pretty sure that we’re going to see them again next year.

  1. Feathers

As we’ve talked about before, feathers are quite the hit this year. We have seen their presence in important occasions and now you can wear them as a coat and in bright colours as well as seen in Valentino, Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and Loewe. Would you dare?

  1. Shearling coats

We can’t deny the fact that a shearling coat can keep you warm like no other. This season the most famous shearling coat is in natural colour. The coat is more about the urban style woman, who only wants to feel warm and comfortable as she goes ahead with her daily schedule.

  1. XXL

The 80s are still dominating fashion week and you can see such thing even in a type of coat or a dress. Everything was about going extra in the 80s and such thing is present even nowadays. If you are wondering what kind of coat reminds us of the 80s, think about the oversized shoulders and you will totally understand what we are saying.
