Water Detox


I believe that June is like the rush month as everyone is trying to do their best working out in the gym and developing healthier eating habits, that will somehow help them lose weight and keep their body fit. But, miracles hardly happen at just one month if you wish to get ready for the beach. Anywhere around you, you will hear people talking about diet, yoga, supplements, pilates, jogging, cross-fit, cardio etc. In the middle of all this, you start wondering: is it worth it? Will I ever get the body I want?

But one thing is true and every possible trainer can testify that: 30% of the success comes of the different trainings or exercises that you do and 70% comes from what you eat. So, despite all the exercise, you will never have the body you wish for, unless you start paying attention to what you eat and drink during the day. I must admit that in recent years we have heard the same word over and over again: detox. Detox is the real deal. At least, that is how they call it, and when I say “they” I mean celebrities, influencers, trainers, etc., who are frequent consumers of tea detox or water detox.

Water detox is the most consumed one, because it is easier and there are tons of recipes. The most important thing is that through detoxing you make sure to remove the impurities and toxins of your body. Water detox can help you lose weight and enrich your body with vitamins. A very important benefit that comes through water detox is related to the fact that when starting your detox period, you will notice that your level of energy is increased and you will be in a better mood, meaning that positivity will fill your entire body and mind.

The most common water detox recipes are:

  • Cucumber and mint
  • Grapefruit and rosemary
  • Orange and lemon
  • Lemon and Ginger
  • Lemon and lime
  • Apple and cinnamon
  • Watermelon and mint
  • Citrus and cucumber

But you can create your own water detox depending on your preferences. We will show you some recipes that are very good for your health.


Detox water with Cucumber, Lemon and Grapefruit:

  • ½ gal spring water
  • ½ sliced grapefruit
  • ½ sliced cucumber
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • ½ sliced lemon
  • ½ sliced lime



Lemon Ginger Detox Water

  • 1 12-ounce glass water, at room temperature
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2-inch knob of ginger root



Blueberries and Orange Detox Water

  • 6 cups water
  • 2 mandarin oranges,cut into wedges
  • a handful of blueberries
  • ice



Watermelon Detox Water

  • 2 cups Seedless Watermelon, cubed
  • 4 cups Water



Apple Cinnamon Water

  • 1 Apple thinly sliced. Cut away the seeds.
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick.



Strawberry Kiwi Water Detox

  • ½ gallon cold water
  • 2 kiwis, sliced
  • 6 strawberries, sliced
