While many had forgotten about her, others had no idea that a girl in the 60s was making a name for herself by becoming a Hollywood star.
Sharon Tate was an American actress and model married to film director Roman Polanski. At the age of 26, while being eight and a half months pregnant, she was brutally murdered by followers of Charles Manson.
But prior to her death, Sharon Tate managed to appear in several movies and she inspired many designers with her style, especially in the 1967 cult classic, The Valley Of The Dolls.
“Wearing an abbreviated miniskirt, she seems to enjoy the commotion she causes wherever she goes,” a 1966 article in The New York Sunday News read, according to AnOther magazine.
This year the world remembered her due to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Movie. Margot Robbie was cast in the role of Tate and everyone will have a glimpse at how Sharon Tate’s life was, while trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood.
She will always be remembered for her amazing style, typical of the 60s, which featured short dresses and skirts matched with high-heeled boots.
