The “Heavenly” Beauty Looks From Met Gala 2018

When we first heard about Met Gala’s 2018 theme, we were quite sure that we would see many stars opt for hair accessories. Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination indicated a correlation between statement dresses and huge hair accessories, which were seen in many celebrities that attended the Met Gala. Besides the wonderful gowns, we could not help but stare at the hair and makeup of our favorite celebrities, which let us speechless.

Besides the crazy hair accessories and the shimmery makeup, which dominated most looks, the makeup artists also decided to place jewels around the eye area or on the forehead as seen on Lily Collins, SZA and Paris Jackson. But, there were a few who decided to keep a low profile and opted for a natural look as seen on Kendall Jenner, Zoe Kravitz, Ashley Graham, Jennifer Lopez, Emily Ratajkowski, etc.

Maximum attention was given to the eye area, which is also a beauty trend this season. Kim Kardashian opted for a smokey eye look, which somehow led to the famous Versace look from the 90s. Rihanna, Jourdan Dunn, Sarah Jessica Parker, Solange Knowles, Katy Perry, etc., had different tones of eyeshadows applied to the eye area, while the lips remained in a very natural shade where nude lips dominated.

The hairstyle was simple because tiaras, crowns, hair pins, veils and hair bows were there to do the trick and get our stars in the center of attention.
