In Paris, rainy days and far-flung shows have dominated the schedule. Luckily, Rihanna is beholden to no show times and no rules with her brand, Fenty, backed by LVMH. Amidst all the Paris Fashion Week hubbub, she unveiled the latest from her namesake label. The new see-now-buy-now collection, available to purchase online now, is a reinterpretation of American office tropes, with banker shirts cut with sloped sleeves and pinstripes subverted into cinched little blazers. The brand’s spliced hem trousers remain, now revealing a glimpse of pointed pumps — called the “Power Point” to hammer the boss bitch theme home.
For the younger Fenty shopper, Rihanna introduced a graphic tee and a number of denim reworks that channel her own off-duty style. For non-believers, she’s also produced a slinky black turtleneck and pair of curved seam jeans that take everything you know about #oldceline and turn it on its head. Good for her. Instead of pining for Phoebe, maybe we should celebrate #NewRih.
