If 2018 was the year of Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie’s epic royal weddings (and royal wedding dresses), Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming wedding to Nick Jonas is the next one to watch. There will be fashion; there will be jewels; there will be epic parties. To start: a bridal shower at the new Tiffany & Co. Blue Box Café, where the bride-to-be donned her first of what promises to be many stunning bridal looks.
Chopra arrived to Tiffany & Co. on New York’s Fifth Avenue in a Marchesa midi-length strapless column gown with a feather-embroidered skirt, Christian Louboutin pumps and (what else?) Tiffany & Co. jewels. The actress, who worked with stylist Mimi Cuttrell on the look, opted for easy, polished hair and natural makeup for a look that infused a bit of glam into a silhouette that felt, dare we say, like a modern day Audrey.
This is the first peek into Priyanka’s bridal style, but according to her exclusive Little Black Book series with BAZAAR.com, it’s probable that her knack for being adventurous, versatile, and risk-taking on the red carpet and in her day-to-day dressing will play a roll as she celebrates her upcoming walk down the aisle. Expect the unexpected–Chopra could continue going fashion-forward, go super daring, or lean toward the traditional as the day nears.
While Chopra’s choice of Marchesa could be an indication of what designer she’ll wear on the day-of, don’t fall prey to the engagement-dress-means-wedding-dress speculation that her dear friend Meghan Markle’s stunning Ralph & Russo engagement gown ensued. Priyanka and Nick will likely plan a wedding that includes both Indian and Western traditional events, which means there are many more dresses to come–many of which will likely be purchased in India. As for her Western looks, Chopra will have her pick of the bridal litter, and top names like Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Dior, Valentino, and more are likely all still in the mix.
