Met Gala 2019

The 2019 Met Gala Theme had only one purpose: Go Big, or Go Home. Certainly, our favourite celebrities did exactly what this year’s theme represented as the Met Gala’s Red Carpet turned into a series of events that went beyond our imagination.

Given that Rihanna has been the “queen” of the Met Gala for many years now, everyone was eager to see her outfit, but this year it was Lady Gaga’s turn to amaze us with her extravagant looks. Oh yes, we said looks and not just a look, because the artist made quite a performance on the red carpet.

As for Jared Leto, we saw him walk the red carpet in a total Gucci look while holding his own head. As crazy as it might seem, Leto was carrying his decapitated head as a clutch.

While many people were amazed by what Kim Kardashian, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jennifer Lopez, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Harry Styles, Ezra Miller and Naomi Campbell wore, there were others who used their social media accounts to create memes about Katy Perry and Celine Dion because their choice of outfit was quite unusual for this year’s Met Gala theme: Camp; Notes on Fashion, which was inspired by Susan Sontag’s famous “Notes on Camp” essay.

Although it is only for one night, this event is on everyone’s lips for days. And last night was definitely a night to remember, because our favourite celebrities did quite the show at the red carpet, rocking the most brilliant outfit ideas ever. For sure no one will ever forget Ezra Miller’s look at this year’s Met Gala.
