Marc Jacobs presented his fall/winter 2018-2019 collection last night in New York. Marc Jacobs’ closing show of New York Fashion Week traditionally comes with drama and controversy.
The show that was big in every way: big shapes, big colors, big hats, big thoughts. Also, the collection was rish in vibrant colors and puff-shoulder dresses. Designer presented us extreme silhouettes, rich textures, vibrant colors and expressive models, the designer put the “show” back in fashion show.We saw that Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2018 is inspired by 80s and it’s no surprise that Jacobs got nostalgic in this collection. The Eighties were a clear reference point, if the oversized outerwear and squared off shoulders were any indication. But, After the show something uncomfortable happened. PETA and Animal-rights activists protest that Marc Jacobs use fur. They proteste with slogans like “Fur Is Dead.” They chanted, “Marc Jacobs, animal abuser!” and “shame, shame, shame on you” as guests made their way into the tony venue.
Anyway, Collection is unique in every way!
