Dua Lipa is the newest member of the Puma family, and she is thrilled to collaborate with the iconic activewear brand. As noted by WWD, the musician has officially been tapped to be the new face of Puma, joining an esteemed club that has included stars like Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez, and more.
Dua shared the news on Instagram on November 17, posting a few pics of herself posing in Puma gear and writing, “Clearly very excited to announce that I’ve joined the @puma family as their new global brand ambassador!!! Can’t wait for u to see what we have in store for ya.”
WWD reports that Dua “will front the brand’s ‘She Moves Us’ campaign that will debut next year. It will focus on encouraging women who move together to connect through sport and culture.” According to the brand’s global director of brand marketing, Adam Petrick, the partnership with Dua is a match made in heaven. “We think she embodies what today’s consumer is looking for in a role model,” he told WWD.
Dua herself has been a Puma fan since childhood. “My very first memory of Puma was when I was around six or seven years old and my Dad bought us a pair of matching burgundy suede sneakers, they were my favorite shoes!” she told British Vogue. She’s also got big plans for her partnership. “From performance rehearsals to hiking in the hills, it’s important to feel comfortable and look good,” she said. “I’ve got so many ideas for the projects and campaigns I’ll be taking part in, and look forward to bringing them all to life with the Puma team.”
British Vogue reports that the first collab between Dua and Puma is her Studio 2054 livestream project, which debuts on November 27. (Puma is playing the role of sponsor for the show.) We can’t wait to see what Dua and her signature sporty-glam style bring to the brand!
