Charlotte Casiraghi weds Dimitri Rassam in Monaco ceremony

03/06/2019

Congratulations are in order for Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam, who were married in a civil ceremony on Saturday.

The couple, who are parents to six-month-old son Balthazar, exchanged vows at the Palace Throne Room in Monaco.

The bride wore a short lace dress embellished with crystal-embroidered bows and satin sandals, all designed by Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent, as confirmed by the French fashion house. Her hair was styled by John Nollet.

Later that evening, the bride changed into an elegant strapless Chanel couture gown, paired with a glittering diamond necklace. Her French film producer husband opted for a white tuxedo jacket and bow-tie.

The civil ceremony marriage was attended by family and friends, including the bride’s uncle, Prince Albert II, his wife Princess Charlene, and their children, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, plus Princess Caroline and the groom’s mother.

Also in attendance, according to People, were Charlotte’s brothers, Andrea and Pierre Casiraghi and her sister Alexandra de Hanover as well as the groom’s half-brother Louis Giacobetti and his cousin, Thomas Langmann, the Oscar-winning producer of The Artist. Socialites Bianca Brandolini and Eugenie Niarchos were also invited.

Following the service, the family hosted a traditional Monégasque-style picnic in the terraced gardens overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Guests then headed to the five-star Monte Carlo Beach Hotel for an evening dinner and dancing to the tune of 1970s-inspired band Alessandro Ristori and the Portofinos.

Casiraghi and Rassam are set to celebrate their nuptials again with a more extravagant event in France in the coming weeks.
