Time has passed and we haven’t seen any new movies from Cameron Diaz since 2014 with Annie. But, news is spread and it was the actress’s friend and former co-star, Selma Blair, who informed through an interview with The Metro, that Cameron Diaz has retired from acting while being asked if there will be a sequel of the movie The Sweetest Thing.
“I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about the film. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron’s retired from acting. She’s like ‘I’m done’.
“I mean, she doesn’t need to make any more films. She has a pretty great life, I don’t know what it would take to bring her back. She’s happy.”
Apparently, Cameron Diaz is enjoying her life with her husband, Benji Madden, and she has also released two books, which is quite an achievement. The actress has remained out of the spotlight and we haven’t seen her appear in any famous red carpet. But, we hope her decision will be for a good cause and even though we will not see her acting anymore, we can be witnesses of other exciting projects from the star.
