Balmain will hold its first couture show since 2002 for its “44 François Premier” line which launched two seasons ago. The show will mark the opening of the new Balmain Paris store at 374 rue Saint-Honoré in Paris.
Two seasons ago, Olivier Rousteing launched the line “44 François Premier” which featured tentailored pieces, each made-to-measure for buyers. Oliver Rousteing named the line after the then latest Balmain store on 44 rue François Premier in Paris. The collection was designed to pay homage to the heritage of the house. The French fashion house will debut the line for the first time in January 2019, to mark the opening of the new Paris flagship on 374 rue Saint-Honoré. The last Balmain couture show was in 2002, when Oscar de la Renta was artistic director.
