First Monday of May is considered a very important day among fashion enthusiasts. The Met Gala is held every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and it always starts with a major exhibition on a specific different theme.
The Met Gala has celebrated many historic events, as well as the works of well-known designers such as Paul Poiret, Alexander McQueen, Miuccia Prada and Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons.
The Met Gala is often considered as the “Oscars of Fashion” where famous personalities, not only from the fashion industry, get together and amaze everyone with their outstanding looks as they walk in the red carpet.
After coronavirus delays, the Met Gala will continue its tradition of celebrating fashion on the first Monday of May and this year’s theme is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”
While we wait for the Met Gala this upcoming Monday, we would like to show you some crazy outfits worn by celebrities over the years, which did not cause that much of a controversy, but people talked about them for days and weeks.
We are pretty sure that the majority of people who have been following the Met Gala through the years, will never forget Cher’s naked dress in 1974, which inspired other famous personalities. Nowadays the nude look is a favorite among celebrities.
