Kim Jones made artistic director at Fendi

09/09/2020

Kim Jones has been appointed artistic director at Fendi, haute couture, ready-to-wear and fur collections for women. He will do the role alongside his work as creative director at Dior Homme.

Jones will work closely with Silvia Venturini Fendi, who will create the accessories and menswear collections. The Fendi family have kept all design in-house since the death of Karl Lagerfeld in February 2019. The legendary designer had created the label’s womenswear for over 50 years.

“I would like to profoundly thank Monsieur Arnault @LVMH, Pietro Beccari, Serge Brunschwig and Silvia Venturini Fendi @silviaventurinifendi for this incredible opportunity,” said Jones via Instagram. “Working across two such prestigious houses is a true honour as a designer and to be able to join the house of @FENDI as well as continuing my work at @Dior Men’s is a huge privilege.”
