I always enjoy going back to Paris, especially when it is Fashion Week. Although the city of love and fashion seems to be in a kind of chaos during this time, it never ceases to amaze me.
Last night it was quite a special evening as I rushed to attend the presentation of the Fall/Winter 2019-2020 collection of one of my favourite designers, Jacquemus.
Paris Fashion Week began with an amazing collection from Simon Porte Jacquemus. The venue was located in the outskirts of Paris, in a warehouse completely transformed according to Jacquemus’ vision. “Place Jacquemus” became a small town square from the South of France.
The designer is known for the sensuality of his designs, but for the fall collection we saw something more. The collection featured a variety of skirts perfectly matched with sweatshirts, pantsuits, coats, loose dresses and culottes. Although this collection was different from what we had seen before from Simon, it was still sensual and the bright colours like orange, pink, green and blue made it “alla Jacquemus”.
Besides the beautiful collection, we could not help but admire the earrings which had a unique design. As per the accessories, the clog-soled knee-high boots were quite a hit, without forgetting to mention the smallest bag ever presented on a runway that could only fit earbuds.
