How to Dress Up Like Your Childhood Idol

06/02/2018

When you think of the ’90s, you can’t forget Britney or Spice Girls. Reflecting on our teenage poster girls in the late ‘90s, Britney Spears and Spice Girls were ‘The One’. I have grew up listening their music and definitely they became my childhood idol. I remember choreographing dance numbers to her songs during recess. The 90s were a cultural success. They drove me into a fantasy world. Not only their music, but also I love their style too. If you are 90s kids, you will feel me when I talk with such a passion for them. In this post I want to show you how you can wear like our childhood idol, because today I am nostalgic for them and this area.

It’s Britney Bitch!”

Britney was one of the biggest ’90s pop music performers in the world and quickly became an icon by cementing herself into pop culture with her very first hit and music video “…Baby One More Time” in late 1998. The video was set at a high school, with Britney is dressed in a private school girl uniform. “Baby One More Time” became the best-selling album. Her follow-up album “Oops… I Did It Again” also became Diamond-certified and her second best-selling album.

A style icon that propelled ’90s pop culture and started a new generation of divas, Spears inspired the dress code of millions of teenage girls – and a few full-grown fashionistas. The ’90s Britney Spears wore outfits that’d still be cool today. From denim dresses to glamorous gowns, Britney Spears has experimented with plenty of looks since storming on the pop scene. Crop top and denim jeans were always part of her 90s style and her wardrobe. Britney Spears looks that will inspire you to embrace the fashion of your childhood.

The Spice Girls

The Spice Girls became a worldwide phenomenon and made pop music fun again and to another level. In America, they were called the biggest British invasion since the Beatles. The Spice Girls took over the world in 90s and were a big influence on pop culture in the 90s. 20 years later, their impact still lives in fashion and culture. The Spice Girls were not only one of the most popular bands of the ’90s, but they were also the biggest trendsetters of the era. With crop tops, animal print, suits, platform shoes and slip dresses, the girl group influenced the fashion industry one music video at a time.
