Virgil Abloh Makes His Debut for Louis Vuitton in Paris

Virgil Abloh made history today at his first men’s fashion show with Louis Vuitton in Paris, because he is the first African-American to hold such important position at a prestigious house like Louis Vuitton. The fashion show took place at the Palais-Royal in Paris and famous celebrities like best friend Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, etc. were there to support the designer. Before the show, Virgil Abloh wrote on his Instagram account that: “The biggest goal for a first collection in any scenario is to start so that people can understand the new vocabulary,”.

What is interesting about the new designer of Louis Vuitton is the fact that he never went to fashion school. Instead, he was more into engineering and architecture and has worked as a DJ and producer. Despite his background, he proved to be a true designer by expressing his creativity through a collection that was characterized for its diversity.

A special moment during the show happened when Virgil took his final bow at the end of the show as he ran to embrace his best friend, Kanye West. Both of them started crying and it was such a touching moment. Kanye and Virgil have been friends since the early 2000s, so this moment couldn’t be any better.

Among the famous celebrities that attended the show, Rihanna had an important impact with her attendance because she was wearing an all-white monochromatic look, which is part of Abloah’s collection with Louis Vuitton. Who better than Rihanna could pull off such outfit in the most outstanding way possible?
