20/02/2019

So many good films, so little time.

Have you ever asked yourself that what are the best movies all the time or the timeless movies?

The timeless movies ate the types of movie that will get watched again and again and again. They never get old. We all have movies that we never get tired of watching, no matter how many times we see them.

So grab the popcorn and prepare to watch best movies because we’ve got timeless movies that will never get old.

Here are movies everyone should watch in their lifetimes

Gone With the Wind

‘Gone with the Wind’ considered the most beloved, enduring and popular film of all time. It is a romantic epic about a strong willed woman and a roguish man who carry on a turbulent love affair in the American south during the American Civil War and Reconstruction Era. It is one of the most popular love stories ever written.

We highly recommend it. It is a timeless classic!

Dirty Dancing

This movie shows love blossom between a teenager and a dance instructor during the summer of 1963, which made it a timeless classic. A teenage girl learns about love, adult responsibility, and how to do The Dirty Boogie in this romantic drama.

It’s an unprecedented live experience, exploding with heart-pounding music, passionate romance and sensational dancing.

How to Marry a Millionaire

Classic Hollywood legends sparkle with this movie. How to Marry a Millionaire stars Lauren Bacall, Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable as three gorgeous models who hatch a scheme to snare rich husbands in New York City.

Will love or money win out in the end? If you haven’t seen this movie, what are you waiting for?

Pretty Woman

Love and various social complications invade their tidy arrangement and have the pair wondering if this Cinderella-story could have a happy ending. A man in a legal but hurtful business needs an escort for some social events, and hires a beautiful prostitute he meets… only to fall in love.

Casablanca

It is no mystery that “Casablanca” is one of the most popular films ever made. It is about a man and a woman who are in love, and who sacrifice love for a higher purpose.

And for those that haven’t seen it, big mistake.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Breakfast At Tiffany’s is a timeless charming classic starring timeless beauty and style icon Audrey Hepburn.  An unusual love story, glamorous, sophisticated, with more than a touch of the bizarre. Breakfast at Tiffany’s looks like a box office favorite.

Audrey Hepburn shines in the lead role, creating a character that is equally beautiful and fashionable today as she was when the film was released nearly 50 years ago.

Roman Holiday

Roman Holiday won Oscars for Hepburn’s performance, for its story, and for its costumes, and was nominated for seven more, including Best Picture and Best Director for William Wyler. In this timeless classic, Hepburn is at her transcendent best as a sheltered princess who falls for an American newsman in Rome.

You definitely should watch this movie!

Titanic

One of the highest-grossing movies of all time, this enthralling saga is often considered a guilty pleasure in certain serious movie-lover circles, despite its 11 Oscars. A fictional romantic tale of a rich girl (Winslet) and a poor bohemian boy (DiCaprio) who meet on the ill-fated voyage of the ‘unsinkable’ ship.

The story, acting, score, visuals and everything in between is done to perfection.

Sabrina

“Sabrina”  is still a sweet story. A playboy becomes interested in the daughter of his family’s chauffeur, but it’s his more serious brother who would be the better man for her. An amusing romantic comedy with great dialogue and a sweet Cinderella feel to it. ‘Sabrina’ was nominated for six Academy Awards.

To Catch A Thief

This film is a must-see, probably Hitchcock’s most beautiful movie. The film stars Cary Grantas a retired cat burglar who has to save his reformed reputation by catching a new “cat” preying on the wealthy tourists of the French Riviera. Grace Kelly stars opposite him as his romantic interest in her final film with Hitchcock.

The best thing about this film is the chemistry between leads Grant and Kelly. Dialogues between them sparkles throughout and is a pleasure to watch.

To Catch a Thief is actually as enjoyable now as it was 40 years ago.

Love Story

Love Story is a brilliant and timeless romantic classic! It is a story about a boy and girl from different backgrounds who fall in love.

Their love life has a couple of ups and downs in which they have to weight some choices for themselves against choices for their love together. The two very attractive leads make a cute couple, and have good chemistry.

From Here to Eternity

“From Here to Eternity” boasts an absolutely legendary cast that delivers one of the finest composite performances of all time. The story happened in Hawaii in 1941, a private is cruelly punished for not boxing on his unit’s team, while his captain’s wife and second-in-command are falling in love.

“From Here to Eternity” easily stands with the greatest films in history. To me, this is what a good movie is all about – powerful and compelling character development within the context of a story that is credible and makes sense. A must-see!

The Princess Bride

This is one of those rare films that gets better each time you watch it. With something for everyone, The Princess Bride combines romance, action, adventure and parody to create the perfect movie.

This film is an intelligent, sardonic send up of several genres that pokes fun (affectionately) at fairy tales, swashbucklers, love stories and basic conventions of film. Cary Elwes and Robin Wright are beautiful to watch and the story of their love is a wonderful backdrop to the adventure and intrigue played out in this story.

The Princess Bride is a classic film that will never be forgotten!
