The Weeknd, newly single, dove straight into dating this month. First, he was spotted holding hands with Justin Bieber’s ex Yovanna Ventura. Last week, he was at his ex Bella Hadid’s apartment for several hours; reports came out the next day that the two reportedly still love each other and may give it another chance.
But Hadid is in Shanghai now for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and last night, The Weeknd went on what appears to be his most surprise date yet: A night out with Katy Perry.
Perry and The Weeknd were photographed arriving separately at Italian restaurant Madeo in West Hollywood for a three-hour dinner. Both are officially single, but the dinner could’ve just as easily been work-related or a friendly gathering. Both reportedly left separately around midnight to go to their own homes.
Hadid also is aware The Weeknd is dating around. “She still loves him but has her guard up,” a source told E! last week. “She never really got over him. She is not looking to be exclusive with him now, just to be his friend. His schedule won’t allow him to stay focused on her—she knows this from past experience. She also knows he is talking to a few girls still. She reads what is put out in the news and that affects her.”
