Fashion month – this four week period dedicated to Spring / Summer 2018 was a great time for Kaia Gerber. She was the undisputed star of the fashion month in all the fashion shows she was part of. She opened many important shows. She made her first runway debut in Calvin Klein show.

Starred in 18 shows, including several opening appearances (Fendi and Chanel, in particular) and one closing (Marc Jacobs). In New York, Kaia Gerber was picked to present collections for Marc Jacobs, Fenty x Puma by Rihanna, Coach, Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang. She then jetted off to London, where she shone on the Burberry runway, then to Milan, where she walked for Versace, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Fendi and Moschino. For her Paris Fashion Week debut, the teen appeared on some of the most prestigious runways, from Saint Laurent and Chanel to Miu Miu and Valentino.

Kaia Gerber is following in her famous mother’s footsteps. Cindy Crawford has had an incredible modeling and acting journey over the past five decades. Her daughter, Kaia, got everybody’s attention on Chanel’s fashion show 2018. Her mother did the same for Chanel in 1993. Also, Cindy modeled for Versace in 1992, whereas Kaia stared in Versace’s 2018 fashion show.

Like mother like daughter
The sixteen year old star is poised to become a fashion icon and she deserves to be. She is now the center of the fashion universe, leaving behind more experienced models such as Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner.
This is a sudden success, but certainly not a coincidence. Obviously, her mother has had a strong influence on her daughter’s passion for modeling. Kaia made her runway debut in the fashion industry when she was only ten years old, in the Young Versace fashion show.
