The Most Anticipated Movies For Fall 2018

If you are a movie addict, fall season is your favorite one. During this period we get to see movies that will sure get nominated for the Golden Globe, SAG Awards and the much anticipated Academy Award.

This fall we will have the opportunity to watch some very interesting movies. How do we know that? Only by watching the trailers and reading a few reviews we can tell that some Oscar’s nominees are under our radar and we are keeping notes.

Check below the most anticipated movies for fall 2018 that are a must see.

  1. A star is born

We never thought that one day we’d get the chance to see Lady Gaga in a normal look while acting in a movie. Also, we never thought that we’d never see Bradley Cooper as a director and actor at the same time. Well, Hollywood is full of surprises and the movie A Star Is Born is making headlines and reviews are only positive about it. Buy those cinema tickets and don’t miss your chance to watch an amazing performance from Lady Gaga.

  1. First man

Movies based on real events are always a must see. La La Land director, Damien Chazelle, has once again teamed with Ryan Gosling for this biopic about Neil Armstrong as he makes his path to be the first man to walk on the moon.

  1. White Boy Rick

White Boy Rick is also based on real events as it tells the story of a young boy, who became the youngest FBI informant in history at the age of 14.

  1. Beautiful Boy

Our bets are for Timothée Chalamet as we think he will get his second Oscar nomination with the role of a troubled young boy who has an addiction for meth, which leads to a complicated relationship with his father, played by Steve Carell.

  1. Bohemian Rhapsody

Rami Malek will for sure give us chills as he will play the legendary Freddie Mercury. The movie will take us to the early days of Queen and the band’s brilliant performance in 1985 at Live Aid.

  1. Boy Erased

Boy Erased tells the story of a young boy after coming out as gay. He is pressured to enter conversion therapy as such thing is unacceptable for his parents. Being the son of a Baptist teacher is no easy task after all.

  1. Widows

We hadn’t seen a movie from Steve McQueen since 2013 with 12 Years a Slave. After such a long time, the director returns with the story of four women that join forces after their husbands are killed during an attempted robbery.

  1. Mary, Queen of Scots

One of the most famous rivalries in history include Queen Mary of Scots (played by Saoirse Ronan) as she tries to overthrow her cousin Queen Elizabeth I (played by Margot Robbie).

  1. Vice

Christian Bale and Amy Adams are once again alongside each other as they both star in Vice. The movie tells the story of Dick Cheney who is considered the most powerful Vice President in history. For the role of Dick Cheney, Christian Bale gained 40 pounds by eating a lot of pies, shaved his head and bleached his eyebrows.

  1. Roma

Director of Gravity and Children of Men, Alfonso Cuarón, returns again with yet another masterpiece (critics are all talking about it). Roma is set in Mexico in the 1970s and it is filmed in black and white, which is quite unusual. The movie is all about love, courage, hope and change, and we will have the chance to watch it on Netflix in December.
