The snow of couture week has well and truly thawed, and the mood of Paris Fashion Week street style was positively spring-like, with bare arms and even shorts spotted off the runway. As the fashion world returned to the French capital for the final round of shows, all eyes were on Celine, where Hedi Slimane presented his second runway collection for the house. Pierpaolo Piccioli’s next offering at Valentino was also hotly anticipated, following a SS19 couture show that brought both Naomi Campbell and singer Céline Dion to tears.
Away from the catwalk, the city was crowded with industry insiders rushing from show to show. Paris Fashion Week street style is all about the details – whether that’s an extravagant hair accessory, eye-catching footwear or the new season It bag (think earthy shades and ’90s shapes). Vogue’s roving photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce was there to capture the best-dressed guests.
