The 2022 SAG Awards

28/02/2022

You realise that the Oscars are approaching as the SAG Awards takes place. But let us just keep our focus for the moment on the SAG Awards that took place yesterday evening in Santa Monica.

With the boycott on the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards was definitely the first big awards show of the year. Finally, we had the opportunity to watch an in-person event after last year’s event took place virtually.

Celebrities walked the Red Carpet in breathtaking gowns and it felt like we were watching some kind of a VIP catwalk.

The mood on the carpet was wonderful where movie and television stars reunited for a night of celebration.

The Red Carpet was dominated with silk, sequins and cut-out gowns where many opted for dresses that highlighted their curves, rather than fluffy ballgowns. Jewellery was kept simple and very sophisticated and so was the makeup, so natural.

Lady Gaga was one of the celebrities that caught our attention on the Red Carpet wearing an angelic gown by Armani Privé. Selena Gomez was a joy to see since we don’t see her that much on the Red Carpet. As much as gowns ruled the Red Carpet, some celebrities like Jessica Chastain and Elle Fanning decided to show up in suits, quite a daring decision but they both looked stunning.

Have a look at our favorite Best Dressed celebrities of the 2022 SAG Awards and the list of winners
