It was absolutely a night to remember! January 5th marked the beginning of the awards season. The movie addicts were all seated comfortably in their homes watching the Golden Globes and placing bets on who was going to win.
Each year, the Golden Globes has been giving us an anticipation on the movies and artists that will get nominated for an Oscar, so we can predict who might be the winner of an Academy Award.
The Red Carpet of the Golden Globes never ceases to amaze us. It was a parade of pure class and glamour which made us all dream about wearing those fantastic gowns and suits.
No doubt these events always become an inspiration about deciding what to wear on a special occasion. They also help you decide on the choice of hair and makeup.
The night was full of surprises and Jennifer Lopez absolutely stole the show with her fantastic Valentino gown. We can’t deny the fact that Billy Porter’s choice of outfit was absolutely great. After the Met Gala, he managed to surprise us even more.
Regarding this year’s winners, Quentin Tarantino’s movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood won the award for best comedy or musical, screenplay and supporting actor.
1917, a movie based on the events happening during World War I took home the awards for best drama and best director. We are pretty sure everyone will hit the theatres to watch the movie as it will be released on Friday.
Netflix was absolutely disappointed with the results, because the streaming giant had 34 nominations but won only two awards: Laura Dern won the award for her supporting role in Marriage Story and Olivia Colman was named best actress in a television drama for her role in The Crown.
We can’t deny that disappointment is always present during an important event such as the Golden Globes, the Oscars, the Grammys etc.
Despite this, we can’t deny ourselves the pleasure of selecting the best dressed celebrities during the 2020 Golden Globes.
