Queen Letizia’s Casual Style

Queen Letizia of Spain is no stranger to an experimental (or, dare we say, casual) fashion moment. The Spanish queen is known for her love of shirts and trousers, and frequently abandons royal style expectations for looks that prioritise comfort and wearability.

On January 29, 2019, Letizia stepped out in a head-to-toe Hugo Boss ensemble, and accessorised with one of her most-worn bags by the designer. However, her trendy leopard print coat stole the show—and proved Letizia doesn’t let royal fashion stereotypes get in the way of her innate trendiness.

While other royal women like Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge are known for their slightly more conservative approaches to royal dressing, Letizia’s love for wearable, affordable outfits is refreshing—and makes sense, considering she worked as a journalist before marrying King Felipe VI in 2004.
