We can expect another royal wedding in 2020, as Princess Beatrice has announced her engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Her sister, Princess Eugenie, shared the news on her Instagram account, along with some sweet photos of the happy couple that Eugenie took herself.
Eugenie wrote: “I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.”
The post also showed off Beatrice’s engagement ring, which features a large circular diamond sitting on a diamond band.
The caption also included a statement from the couple: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.”
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be actually married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for years ahead, full of love and happiness.”
The royal made her first public appearance with her now fiancé (known as Edo to friends) in March this year, at a gala at the National Portrait Gallery in London. The pair have been dating since last September, but have known each other for years.
The couple previously attended the Berggruen Priza Gala in New York last December, but they weren’t photographed together.
Mozzi is a businessman who has a two-year-old son from a previous relationship. Princess Beatrice split with her former partner Dave Clark in 2016 after a decade of dating.
