Pippa Middleton welcomed her first child with husband James Matthews yesterday, October 15, royal correspondent for Daily Mail, Rebecca English reports. The baby boy was born at 1:58 p.m. London time, weighing 8 pounds and 9 ounces. His name has not been announced yet.
“Everyone is delighted and Mother and baby are doing well,” English adds. Pippa’s newborn son also marks the first nephew for older sister Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Pippa’s baby news arrives in the midst of royal baby fever, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex just announced Monday morning that they are expecting their first child in the spring of 2019. Kate Middleton will have another niece or nephew to look forward to in a matter of months.

The news follows the new mom’s appearance at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London on Monday, which is the same maternity ward where her sister Kate gave birth to all three of her children. (Most recently, she and Prince William welcomed five-month-old Prince Louis there.) By Monday evening, reports were swirling that the British socialite was in labor.
