Off-The-Shoulder Trend

08/08/2018

This summer it’s all about the off-the-shoulder look. They are practically everywhere, and while I love the shape. Fashion girls around the world bared their shoulders in various fabrics and the trend which was big in the 50s-60s came back like it never left.

Off-the-shoulder styles have had their moments throughout fashion history, but were extremly popular for much of the early 19th century. Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn really made the cold shoulder look popular in the 1960’s.

But as style has evolved over the decades, it has come to involve more shoulder cut-outs than off-the-shoulder tops, and been renamed to reflect the current era. This classic style exudes sexy without giving too much away, elegant without being boring, and so much fun.

The cold shoulder or ‘off-the-shoulder’ is perfect if you’re looking for a wardrobe essential that never fails to please. The off-the-shoulder design can be found in tops or in dresses, making it endlessly versatile and extremely popular. They make a very pretty summer choice, because it’s feminine and creates a beautiful silhouette.

Whether you’re headed on a beach getaway or out for dinner and drinks, nothing feels more summery than an off-the-shoulder dress.

If you’re still not sure how to wear off the shoulders in summer, take a look how these celebrities are doing it.
