Karl Lagerfeld Brings Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2018 to Germany And Does It Best!!

07/12/2017

It may feel like Spring/Summer 2018 fashion week just ended, but for Karl Lagerfeld, fashion never sleeps. For its latest Metiers d’Art show, Chanel unveiled its Pre-Fall 2018 collection in Hamburg, Germany yesterday. Karl Lagerfeld brings Chanel to Germany, his country of birth.

The runway show took place in the city’s Elbphilharmonie, a theater space that the designer filled with a live orchestra. Tilda Swinton, Kristen Stewart, Marine Vacth, Caroline de Maigret, Lily Rose Depp, editors and influencers from around the world was part of Chanel’s show yesterday.

Runway breakout star Kaia Gerber walked her second ever Chanel show, sporting two Pre-Fall looks on the runway. She made us want to reach for a cozy sweater.

His collection was full of surprises. Inspired by German culture of the 1960s, Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection included a lineup full of mini skirts paired with black opaque tights. There were mini and maxi dresses. Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 illustrated girls in sweater dresses with pearl-adorned booties. We are sure that sweater dresses will be a huge trend next season. In this collection were also accentuated a black newsboy cap and a black accordion-style cross-body bag. These caps came in several forms: embroidered, sequined, adorned with a brooch-like emblem or covered in tulle as if veiled, adding a sense of mystery to the style.

The collection is about a potent combination of sobriety and sin. Karl Lagerfeld does it best! Karl,  always amaze us!!
