Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and art gallerist Cooke Maroney held their engagement party yesterday. For the happy occasion, Lawrence opted for a romantic blush pink wedding dress.
Photographed on the streets of New York, Lawrence looked every bit the ethereal bride-to-be in an elegant pearl pink gown with a plunging neckline, long billowing sleeves and an empire waist created by New York City-based label L.WELLS. Founder and designer Lauren Wells previously worked under Vera Wang before stepping out to create her own bridal design house.
The gown, known as the Juliana Dress, is currently available for pre-order in two different colours. The Hunger Games star finished her look with Leighton jewellery, a Roger Vivier bag and Casadei stilettos.
This isn’t the first time Lawrence has worn L.WELLS, with the actress attending a movie premiere in November 2017 in another wedding dress by the brand.
A rep for the actress told People that Lawrence and Maroney were engaged back in February of this year. The news was first reported by Page Six, after Lawrence was spotted wearing a “massive ring” during a dinner with her now fiancé at Raoul’s, a high-end French restaurant in New York City.
And according to reports, the engaged couple complement each other brilliantly, partly because Maroney is not a part of the Hollywood scene.
“He’s a great guy,” a source told People. “He’s smart and funny and I think really keeps her on her toes and he doesn’t treat her like a celebrity like the other boyfriends did.”
