Hide those imperfections

11/01/2018

As much as we skip gym or our diet, there is one thing that we should never ever skip: our beauty routine, or better say our skincare routine. When talking about skincare, it can take days or weeks for me to speak on this matter as the importance of it is at high standards. I always say that a good skincare routine begins with a good sleep. But, as much as we take care of our skin, still there is no such thing as a perfect skin, but there are some tricks that can hide your skin’s imperfections.

First lesson comes from knowing what issues your skin has, and which part is the most vulnerable to imperfections. So, pay attention at some skin issues that most women have and how to hide them.

Pimples

The first mistake from many women is the application of foundation over and over again during the day. By doing so, the face can’t breath and other pimples will show up eventually.

If you want things to be done the right way, you should apply a moisturizer first and then opt for a thin layer of foundation all over your face. Then apply a high-coverage concealer in the center of the blemish and use your fingers to blend it.

But, if you want your pimples to be hidden, the coverage should last throughout the day, meaning that you should put concealer all over again, but using your fingers too often can cause other pimples to show up. Avoid the part of applying concealer over and over again, clean your skin by refreshing it and apply makeup again. Don’t have time? Well, find it if you do not want to end up with more blemishes. In the meantime, I recommend Skin Recovery Cream from Avene.

Redness

You can avoid redness by taking care of your skin twice a day and also by using products that are able to reduce redness. If you want to minimize the appearance of the flush you should go for a primer. I would recommend you choose Mac Prep & Prime Natural Radiance Base, because its primer is the right one to hide redness.

Visible Pores

Pores are quite visible to those who have oily skin. Oh believe me, I have been there. Apart from using specific skincare products that make sure that your pores are far away from the spotlight, the other trick is about using primer like The POREfessional Face Primer from Benefit Cosmetics and a powder like Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder, because it helps you reduce the appearance of large pores.

Dry Skin

Even dry skin can experience many skin issues. Sometimes it is like mission impossible getting your makeup sited properly. So after cleaning your skin, apply moisturizer and then go for a cream or liquid foundation like Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation.

Under Eye Circles

An eye cream should become your best friend, because it helps you reduce dark circles. If your eye circles are not that visible, you should go for a light concealer such as Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat to illuminate the area. If your dark circles are permanent, then you should go for a specific concealer that helps you hide your skin’s imperfections such as Tarte Double Duty Shape Tape Contour Concealer.
