Floral Headpieces From The Most Famous Catwalks

22/08/2019

One cannot deny that everyone fell in love with American Vogue’s September Issue and its cover starring Beyonce. We didn’t love it just because of Beyonce, but also due to the fact that it was the singer herself who took the reins of the most prestigious fashion magazine and decided on everything. Such thing was never heard of, but it was immediately embraced by everyone and all of us were excited to get a glimpse of Beyonce’s personal thoughts.

As we wait to see what Vogue magazine has in store for us with its September issue, we cannot help but admire the cover where Beyonce is wearing a Gucci white dress and an enormous floral headwear designed by Phil John Perry for Rebel Rebel.

But floral headpieces are not unknown to us. We have seen them every year on the famous catwalks where models wore them in full confidence. Wearing a floral headpiece is not an easy task, especially when it’s enormous, because you have to make sure it stays in place and walk on the runway without showing any signs of difficulties.

Whenever we say big floral headpieces, images of the late 90s and early 2000s and names like John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Comes des Garcons, Christian Lacroix and John Paul Gaultier come into our mind. Years when big names like these used to rule the catwalk by showing the most bizarre pieces.

We thought of taking you back in time and show you how many famous designers presented some of the most beautiful floral headpieces on the runway.
