What turned into a big phenomenon is still present even for summer 2018. Flip-flops were a major trend in the `90s and they have made a comeback this year, because fashion houses like Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Fenty Puma etc., filled their catwalks with models walking in flip-flops. But this season is not about wearing the traditional one colored flip-flops. It is time you turn your flip-flops into your choice of footwear if you are planning to go out, because you can wear heavily embellished flip-flops, or heeled ones, as seen at Fenty Puma Spring/Summer 2018 fashion show.

Although this trend is not coveted by many, we cannot deny the fact that flip-flops are quite comfortable and you can pair them with anything. Designers are showing us that you can wear flip-flops with a beautiful dress, a tracksuit, or even a pencil skirt. Such thing makes you wonder: are we ready to combine a serious outfit with such a ridiculous choice of footwear like flip-flops?

Call it ridiculous or not, you will see shops filled with hundreds of choices of flip-flops in different colors and designs. Even if you are shopping online, retail companies fill their footwear section with flip-flops. In summer, the only thing that we need is feeling comfortable, especially with the high temperatures we want our feet to “breath” as much as possible, and at a certain moment, flip-flops are like life saviors.
