Finally the Autumn/Winter collections arrived in the Italian fashion capital,
Fendi being one of the collections presented today. The show began with earth tone looks that were so smooth and gave you a sense of romanticism, followed by dark tones where grey dominated the most, typical for a winter look.
After Karl Laferfeld’s death in 2019, Fendi has been in a state of rediscovering itself as a brand and trying to strengthen its identity through the vision of Kim Jones.
The designer went through Fendi’s archive to find inspiration for the Autumn Winter Collection, specifically Fendi’s Spring/Summer 1986 and Autumn/Winter 2000.
“The best place to explore the Fendi archives is through the Fendi wardrobes,” Jones said in shownotes. “And these are collections which, although they come from the past, feel very now.”
Bella Hadid opened the show in a chiffon slip dress (one of many presented on the runway) paired with a fur jacket, followed by other models wearing soft chiffon designs, see-through tops, and other tweed looks. Well, we can’t deny that any see through design will still be a trend.
