Milan Fashion Week will go ahead this September

01/07/2020

The trade body that looks after Milan Fashion Week has confirmed that the event will go ahead in a physical sense this September. The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) revealed the news when unveiling the digital schedule for the men’s shows, which will take place in a few weeks time. “Digital fashion week was born as a response to the social distancing and the difficulty of traveling imposed by the world health situation, but also wants to be a…

Salvatore Ferragamo Autumn Winter 2020 Collection

22/02/2020

The traditionally taupe, beige and camel-coloured world of Salvatore Ferragamo is ideal for this fashion moment in time. Outside the show venues of Milan, women in masculine tailoring of precisely that palette are delighting street style photographers trying to immortalise the way we dress in 2020. The look’s connotations are well defined: sophisticated, intelligent and slightly subversive. Inside one of those venues, Paul Andrew got that memo, too. Following last month’s Salvatore Ferragamo men’s show, which bore evidence of the…

Moschino Autumn Winter 2020 Collection

21/02/2020

Jeremy Scott sent us back to the 80s with the presentation of Moschino Autumn Winter 2020 collection yesterday in Milan. Actually, we are not referring to the 80s of Rock `N Roll, but to the 80s of the French Revolution and Marie Antoinette. The 1780s vision of Jeremy Scott came to life with amazing looks presented on the runway by some of the most famous models. As soon as the first model stepped on the catwalk it was like we…

Prada Autumn Winter 2020 Fashion Show

20/02/2020

Fashion week becomes even more exciting as soon as it starts in Milan. One of the shows for today included Prada which is absolutely a must. Miuccia Prada presented a wonderful collection, which made us consider wearing suits more often. But when referring to suits, we do not have in mind the typical version of it. The suit version of Prada includes an oversized jacket paired with fringed skirt. The result? A dream, something that will be worn by most…

My Looks During Milan and Paris Fashion Week Spring 2020

16/10/2019

For several years now I have been attending Milan and Paris Fashion Week. Every year there is always something special and new about these two places. Even this fashion week my looks varied from being a rebel to also showing my love for class and glamour. See below the looks that I chose during Milan and Paris Fashion Week.  …

Milan Fashion Week never seems to disappoint. Every year, the fashion capital brings the best collections and memorable moments that remain engraved in our memories for years. For sure, Jennifer Lopez walking the Versace Spring 2020 show, recreating her most iconic moment in the Grammys in 2000, will remain in our memory for long. Milan Fashion Week is very important for the fashion industry and all eyes are on the new collections. The choice of hair and makeup, the supermodels…

Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2020 Collection

21/09/2019

In June, Paul Andrew staged his first standalone men’s show at Salvatore Ferragamo. The Florentine house had, conveniently, just funded the restoration of the Fontana del Nettuno on Piazza della Signoria where the show took place, casually backdropped by the Palazzo Vecchio. In sartorial Florence, more so than in trendy Milan, Andrew was able to clarify his intentions for Ferragamo. He did so with a collection that illustrated his preference for the classic, the mature and the bourgeois, and left…

Max Mara Spring 2020 Collection

19/09/2019

There’s nothing like a Max Mara group catwalk strut to get the blood flowing at Milan Fashion Week. Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel and Gigi Hadid opened the spring/summer 2020 show to gun barrel sequence music wearing gun metal grey. The inspo was writ large: Modesty Blaise, Killing Eve’s Villanelle and a possible female James Bond were all on creative director Ian Griffiths’s moodboard. “I’ve been watching a lot of television,” he laughed, backstage, citing a burgeoning obsession with female assassins by way…

Alberta Ferretti Spring 2020 Collection

19/09/2019

Seeing a collection that takes inspiration from decades ago, is always fascinating. Milan Fashion Week has already begun, and we are 100% dedicated. We can’t wait to see what our favourite designers have placed in store for the Spring/Summer 2020 season. Alberta Ferretti’s Spring 2020 collection was one of the firsts that we had the opportunity to watch, though miles away. Thanks to technology, we have the chance to follow everything that happens during fashion week and also watch the…
