Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana decided to take a step back in time during Milan Fashion Week.
The Italian designers, Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, chose modern day fashion greats, including Emily Ratajkowski and Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer, to rub shoulders with a host of fashion legends, including supermodel Carla Bruni, 53-year-old Monica Bellucci and 49-year-old Helena Christensen, to model all the hottest looks of the coming season.
The Gone Girl beauty, certainly turned heads as she sported a cornflower blue dress with a sheer material and ruched body to help showcase all her curves, while Helena sported a sizzling LBD and Monica a polka dot dress.
While they were certainly the icons of their day, Helena and Monica have featured less on the runway – before their return on Saturday as they sashayed along the carpet in their exquisite finery.
Helena was clad in all the hallmarks of the fashion house – lace-up detailing, lingerie-inspired bodies, exaggerated floral accents – and pulled off the smouldering look with aplomb.
Monica was showing off her ageless good looks as she slipped her curves into a polka dot dress with black and white coloring while boosting her already leggy frame with staggering platform heels.
Carla Bruni Sarkozy was showing off her edgy side in a shimmering brocade trouser suit.
Italian actress Isabella Rossellini and her daughter Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann, who was holding a baby, walked together down the runway in sensational scenes and a bold turnaround.
Eva Herzigova was joining in the fun as she sported a statement piece comprising of a vast and volumunious black gown with a train and dramatic shoulders while her blonde hair was pinned back elegantly.
