Nathan Jenden, who worked alongside Diane von Furstenberg for a decade in the early 2000s, is returning to the label as its chief design officer and vice president, creative. Jenden is a DVF veteran, returning to the brand where he worked for 10 years until 2011. In his new role, Jenden will report directly to Diane von Furstenberg and DVF’s board. “Nathan is an extremely talented and technically skillful designer who has a great gift surrounding himself with young, emerging talent,” said founder Diane von Furstenberg in a statement to BOF. “It is with joy and pride that I look forward to welcoming Nathan back at DVF.”
His Autumn/Winter 2018 collection will debut in February. Jenden’s first DVF collection will be fall/winter 2018, to be shown in February. “I want to make great clothes that resonate with women,” Jenden tells BOF. We can expect both a revival of early-2000s DVF as well as a new beginning.
