It is a fact that clothes make the first reason a fashion addict watches the fashion shows. Nevertheless, this fashion addict can’t help but also admire the choice of hair and makeup on the models, because of its uniqueness.
Couture A/W 2018 started on July 1st and since the first show, we saw divine gowns which were perfectly matched with the hair and makeup choice on each model. During the fashion week, in order to properly present a collection, major importance is also given to the hair and makeup, because an outfit cannot be complete without them.
During these days we saw almost everything, from the simple looks that characterized Dior’s models walking on the runway, followed by Chanel’s choice of showing a bit of color on the eye area, to the extravagant look of Maison Margiela’s models.
Even during this couture week eyes were the thing that stood out the most and such thing could be clearly seen at Chanel, Givenchy, Elie Saab, Armani, Valentino, Fendi with the dramatic cat-eye look, etc.
One of this year’s trends is “bare face”, which is now becoming quite common in many important fashion shows. We were expecting models from Dior show to walk on the runway with bright colors applied on the eye area, which has been a Dior thing for quite some time now, but we only saw bare faces instead.
As per the hairstyle choice, it was noticed that hair kept in a low ponytail was the first choice of hair stylists. This look can be seen at Dior, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, etc., while others decided to let model’s hair loose, but kept behind the ears.
Let’s have a look at our favorite beauty looks from Haute Couture A/W 2018.
