Today is the final day of Paris Fashion Week, and it only indicates one thing: Chanel Fashion Show. It is a different day for all fashion addicts, because it marks Virginie Viard’s first ready-to-wear collection, which is a tribute to Paris and all its glory.
Each Chanel show differs from one another, not only because of the collections, but also the venue differs each season.
This time, the main theme was Paris and everything that has to do with the beauty of the magic city. Models walked across the zinc surfaces and chimneys of Parisian rooftops. The perfect setting for such a perfect collection.
Chanel Spring 2020 collection was “youth inspired” with a variety of denim looks, mini dresses, mini shorts paired with black tights, and the most recent trend, “logo mania”, was present in a few looks.
“The roofs of Paris remind me of the atmosphere of the Nouvelle Vague,” she said in a statement. “I saw silhouettes walking on the roofs. I thought about Kristen Stewart playing Jean Seberg and all the actresses Gabrielle Chanel dressed at that time.”
