It’s Houte Couture time and Chanel never ceases to amaze us! I am not only referring to the unique designs, but also to the magnificent scenery always accompanying its collections. Designer showman Karl Lagerfeld recreated a verdant royal garden to showcase his bucolic creations. Chanel’s delightful Spring 2018 Haute Couture was today inside the Grand Palais in Paris.
The collection was about classic colorful Chanel tweed suits, though this season cut low at the hip; with high pagoda shoulders. The clothes were rich with soft floral embroidery and frothy looks in a pastel palette. In this collection also dominated wedge boots assorted to their outfits, some with lace, some with sequins and jewels.
Kaia Gerber made her couture debut in an embellished pink dress with sparkly shoes that was one part princess dress. Each model, including Kaia, wore a short black veil that fell from a nosegay at the top of her head. The flower power continued through the palette dominated by mostly gentle pinks with occasional outbursts of vibrant color. Chanel Spring 2018 Haute Couture was full of joy, colors, femininity vibes and blooms with flowers. Chanel, So Gorgeous!!!
