The last day of Paris Fashion Week began with an outstanding collection from Chanel, which marked the final collection from Karl Lagerfeld with the fashion house.
The Grand Palais in Paris, where the show took place, was transformed into a winter wonderland. Special guests such as Penelope Cruz, Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart and all the other models and attendees, all observed a minute of silence to honour the legendary fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, who died on February 19th, 2019.
The venue was transformed into a snow-covered winter village with little houses, trees and bare branches and wooden benches.
The collection featured a variety of suits, belted coats, long dresses, pleated skirts where black and white almost dominated the entire fall collection, but there was also the presence of blue, fuchsia and nude colour.
The last moment of the show was quite emotional as all the models walked together on the runway under the rhythm of David Bowie’s song Heroes. The same song was played at the finale of the presentation of Fendi’s Fall 2019 Collection.
Although the fashion industry lost quite an extraordinary man, Lagerfeld will always be remembered as a true legend, an icon, and his work will never be forgotten, because he left behind a legacy that will never fade.
