You might have heard or read about “Sustainable Fashion”. Nowadays there are many brands that are considered to be sustainable, but there is no such thing as 100 % sustainable. The process of making clothes requires the usage of machines, thus the use of electricity.
Even though these brands are still far away from being 100 % sustainable, they are making a big impact and changing the Fashion Industry for good.
Today’s brands are sustainable and even though not at 100 %, they are a good start if we take into account that the Fashion Industry is one of the most polluted industries.
For brands, being sustainable means making clothes that won’t affect the environment and that means efficient use of natural resources (water, energy, land, soil, plants, biodiversity, animals, ecosystems) and finding better ways, like using renewable energy sources like wind, solar etc.
Many campaigns that encourage people to reuse and recycle their clothes are created. Recycling has been one of the main topics in recent years, which has also affected the Fashion Industry.
Although Fashion Industry is having a bad impact on our environment, we have seen that many brands have stepped away from the negativity that surrounds it and have preferred to go on their own way, which is sustainability.
Nowadays you will find thousands of brands that support sustainability and thanks to these brands we now have the possibility to change our philosophy and approach ourselves to a certain brand that values the environment and the ecosystem.
Below you can see some of the brands that are sustainable.
