NY Fashion Week was the first one of many others to follow in September everywhere in the world. These fashion shows have turned into magnets for the stylists that want to express their vision in their collections. Some of the most well known stylists in the world presented their ideas and collections to bring the newest trends for the Spring/Summer 2019. Many were the fashion houses that introduced us to their collections, but I’ve prepared my favorites, which I’m sharing with you below:
Tom Ford
Tom Ford was the first one to open the NY Fashion Week with pride while presenting the new spring 2019 on the catwalk. I think that this year, Tom Ford has had a “boom” and a more powerful comeback than before. Known for his “boss lady” collections dedicated to women who work all day but wear expensive clothes, this year however, Tom Ford comes very different. He’s become more extensive and has intertwined the “boss lady” with a sensuality where a lot of women can find themselves. In the spring/summer 2019 collection we see some very serious but also very sexy outfits at the same time. He’s put a lot of sensuality through the laces, in dresses like nightgowns, while combining them with oversize jackets and introduced beautiful silk dresses for the evening. Tom Ford has brought a woman with character, who looks very sensual, feminine, and not vulgar at all. For that reason Tom Ford is my favorite from the NY Fashion Week, because I find myself in it.
Zimmermann
If I had to pick an outfit from the collections that were presented at the NY Fashion Week, it would without a doubt be a Zimmermann. I can say that I fit in with them, and the models and the cuts of this collection are just amazing. Besides, I like Zimmermann since it brings back the 70’ style that I love so much.
Cushnie
Cushnie’s spring/summer 2019 collection was love at first sight. A brand that makes you feel a real woman and it was one of my favorite ones during this fashion week. I love Cushnie’s femininity, design, and fabric.
Oscar de la Renta
Oscar de la Renta’s collection flew us immediately to tropical places. Full of colors, especially the yellow color, it just made us want to take a vacation again. For these two years that Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia have been in Oscar de la Renta, they worked very hard to show their message in their outfits: women have the right to wear whatever they want, and do whatever they want. The collection was for all women: those that want to feel comfy or sexy, where outfits for dinners and for a red carpet were never missing.
