A 70s inspiration at Missoni Fall 2018 Fashion Show

25/02/2018

Apparently Milan Fashion Week has turned into some kind of nostalgia as designers are bringing back the past. This is more of the old fashion transformed into motifs for the present time. So far, we have seen details from the 90s, the extravagance of the 80s and now it is time we see the revolution of the 70s. At the Missoni Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Fashion Show, the 70s had a comeback and it was absolutely colorful and magic.

The beauty of the 70s was characterized through the combination of different colorful yarns, which is typical of the brand, as there were many details like a leopard print dress and knitted jacket, fringed knitted jackets, colorful long dresses, huge plissé trousers, long knitted scarfs, knitted blanket coats etc.

The fashion show was not only about womenswear, but there were also male models walking the runway and they all looked amazing in the 70s style. Well, when we think about Fall/Winter collections, it comes to our minds only dark colors, but when it comes to Missoni there is no such as darkness, because wearing colors somehow affects your mood. As you wear a combination of different colors, your mood is far away from being boring.

The 70s were quite revolutionary and it is nice seeing that kind of spirit again, because we are living at a time where revolution is happening and that involves the rising power of every woman in the entire world. So, scroll down and be inspired from Missoni’s version of the 70s style.
