Although fashion inspiration can be sourced from a variety of different places—glossy pages of magazines, runways, stores, the chaos of our Instagram Explore page—we’d be lying if we said celebrities weren’t on the list, too.
Whether it’s their red carpet forays or their street style, celebrity style influences the shapes, colours, trends and styles we gravitate towards to—intentionally or not.
But which celebrities influence us the most? Do we look to the likes of Meghan Markle and Amal Clooney for office appropriate workwear? Or turn to Kim Kardashian and Cardi B for envelope-pushing streetwear?
The answer, it turns out, is a little in between.
Global fashion search platform Lyst has released their “most powerful celebrity fashion influencers” list for the year, which tracks which each star’s fashion effect, including their influence over sales, social and search.
Here, the ten women influencing your wardrobe.
